Our renowned sister restaurant, L’Espalier, is located in the heart of fashionable Back Bay, adjacent to the Mandarin Oriental, Boston on Boylston Street.. L’Espalier has not only been voted the ”best romantic” restaurant by Boston Magazine for several years in a row and consistently rated as a top restaurant in the Zagat Survey, but is also the only independent restaurant in New England to maintain five diamonds from AAA for seven straight years. Apple Street Farm
Chef Frank McClelland's revitalization of a two-century pastoral 14-acre equestrian farm is evident in the maturing plantings that have responded to this region’s abundant spring rains; and 2009 marks its first harvest season.
In one of the country’s most ambitious sustainable agriculture initiatives for the restaurant industry, Apple Street Farm is the primary source of organic harvests, free-range poultry and pork, and egg-laying hens for Chef McClelland’s L’Espalier and Sel de la Terre restaurants. He personally delivers his bushels of harvests to his awaiting chefs for them to feature in world-class dishes.
